Clinard Dance Theatre
Clinard Dance Theatre has taught Flamenco dance classes from beginner through professional levels for 12 years. The intimate studio environment and small class sizes support a personalized learning experience.

Founder and Artistic Director Wendy Clinard has been performing and teaching the art of Flamenco for the past 15 years. Clinard has spent years researching the roots of flamenco. Her classes offer a comprehensive flamenco foundation.

WINTER Session
Winter Session begins the week of February 21st through April 7th. This 7 week session is designed to continue and expand on ongoing flamenco studies at Clinard Dance Theatre as well as welcome and encourage new students.
**PUNCH CARDS Punch Cards work in half hour increments at $8 per punch. Students can purchase as many punches as they like. Punch cards expire at the end of the Winter Session on Saturday April 7th, 2012.

FLAMENCO FLOOR BARRE
All levels Welcome
These classes consist of focused stretches that help students find and develop their centers or abdominal regions. An articulate center is key to dynamic feet and a musical upper body and turns.
Wednesdays & Fridays 10-11a

ARMS, FEET and TURNS SERIES
Multi-level, Minimum of 1 year experience
These classes are inspired by Clinard's studies with flamenco dancer Ciro at Amor De Dios in Madrid. Ciro would choose one area of flamenco dancing to focus on each class verses breezing through all of them within a class.

Beginner / Beginner
These classes are reserved for students with no previous flamenco studies and include: placement, arm, feet and rhythm concentration.

Performance Workshops
These classes are dedicated to the study of a specific “palo”/form. Students will study the structure and choreography of a given “palo”; there will be live singing and guitar accompaniment for some of these classes.

NEW CHILDREN'S CLASS

The children's class will explore different flamenco song forms, learn to
count different time signatures, play rhythm games, do palmas
(hand-clapping) and learn basic flamenco dance techniques. Basic
flamenco dance techniques include braceo (arm movements), floreo
(finger movements) and zapateado (footwork).
The children will also learn short choreographs to enhance their
overall coordination.

Children's Class ages 5 to 12 years
Thursday Afternoons Feb 23 & Mar 1, 8, 15, 22, 24 & Apr 5
