In 2021 Clinard Dance collaborated on a music and dance exchange between with Nino de los Reyes. We created new works of music and choreography with song lyrics inspired by interviews with elders from our Pilsen community and elders and youth in Madrid. Here in Chicago, we interviewed Araceli Antonino and guitarist Antonio Santiago (Nono) composed original verses from the interview and guitar accompaniment inspired by the Al Golpe flamenco form. Triana Prats choreographed the composition and this summer we’ll dust it off again to learn.
