Workshop by flamenco dancer Pilar Fernandez and singer "Cachito" Jose Diaz. Guitarists, caja players, dancers and or folks curious about the art of flamenco are welcome to join this workshop. The workshop will be dedicated to flamenco subdivisions as they relate to Bulerias markings and breaks (llamadas/remates). Take your flamenco studies to the next level; don't just copy the patterns, learn how to break them down and build good practice habits to control and adapt steps and breaks. They will also cover "grooves" in marking the cante and footwork. Apply simple marking steps and breaks to live cante/song. Fee $90 two days or $50 one day.
