Soleá por Bulería Workshop with Manuel Gutierrez Cabello
This workshop is open to dancers of all levels and will be divided into two parts:
Part 1 – Technique (30 minutes):
We will focus on footwork technique and marcajes of Soleá por Bulería. Students will work deeply on movement, presence, and how to convey flamenco’s essence through simple, expressive steps.
Part 2 – Repertoire:
We will explore a letra of Soleá por Bulería and work on the llamada, integrating rhythm, expression, and musicality.
This class is designed to help dancers connect with the magic of flamenco while building strong technical foundations and expressive performance skills.

About Manuel Gutierrez Cabello:
Manuel Gutiérrez Cabello is an acclaimed flamenco dancer, choreographer, and producer, praised by international press as “a rising star in flamenco” (La Provence Presse) and “an artist of remarkable maturity and presence” (Flamenco Magazine). He began dancing at an early age and won his first flamenco award at just eight years old. He trained under renowned masters including Lita Peiro, José Galván, Joaquín Grilo, and Javier Latorre, developing a distinctive style rooted in tradition yet open to contemporary influences. Manuel has collaborated with major international institutions, including Los Angeles Opera, working alongside Maestro Plácido Domingo in productions of Carmen, The Barber of Seville, and El Gato Montés. He also performed with Houston Grand Opera alongside soprano Ana María Martínez in Suite Española, bringing the essence of flamenco to the operatic stage. Since 2010, Manuel has served as Artistic Director of Eva Longoria’s Global Gift Gala, producing performances across the world while developing new artistic projects, including KOMPAZ, a work exploring rhythm beyond traditional flamenco boundaries.
