Subsidized Rehearsal Space Program
During the pandemic, Clinard Dance pivoted as did many organizations to adapt to the changing world. It was during this time that we met several artists who expressed their need for more accessible dance and rehearsal space. Clinard Dance strives to be an active part of our community and, after listening to the feedback from local artists, decided to create the Subsidized Rehearsal Space Program.
This program aims to provide high-quality rehearsal space and a supportive infrastructure to independent BIPOC artists on Chicago’s south/southwest side at a more affordable rate. The Subsidized Rehearsal Space Program aligns with Clinard Dance’s mission honoring cross-disciplinary arts practice that cultivates dance, music, and storytelling projects grounded in collaboration, justice, and cultural exchange. Through this program, Clinard Dance fosters creativity as a pathway to connection, dialogue, and healing.
Applications for rentals are accepted on a rolling basis. Once an application is submitted, an orientation is scheduled with our team to review the membership policies and set your space usage schedule.
